No. Playtex® tampons can be used at any time, as long as the wrapper is still sealed.

Unfortunately, we made the difficult decision to discontinue Playtex® Sport® Compact tampons. You may be able to purchase them at select locations still, but soon they will no longer be available. If you love Playtex® Sport® Compact tampons, we recommend you try Playtex® Sport® tampons for the same SPORT LEVEL PROTECTION® you trust or check out o.b.® digital tampons for a smaller, more discreet format. Either way, we have the protection you need and the comfort you deserve.

We decided to go back to our old wrapper design (white) earlier this year to address more clear absorbency callouts by color. We felt our old design did a better job communicating this versus our all-pink design.

Playtex Clean Comfort™, Sport®, and Simply Gentle Glide™ are fragrance free. While Sport® OdorShield® is not designed to be heavily fragranced, it contains an odor neutralizer.

No, all Playtex® tampons are dye free. Please note, this does not include the applicator. Currently, the Playtex® Sport® applicator is green.

No. Because used tampons have been in contact with blood, conventional recycling streams cannot process them because they are considered a biohazard. This applies to all applicator types – both plastic and the cardboard plunger on Playtex Clean Comfort™.

You can, however, recycle the cardboard box outer packaging. Please see the How2Recycle instructions on the bottom of your Playtex® box.

No. In order for products to be biodegradable, they would need to completely biodegrade within one year after customary disposal. Customary disposal for tampons is in the trash, which then gets sent to landfills. Items destined for landfills will not degrade within a year due to the conditions of the landfill. As a result, even if a material like cardboard would otherwise decompose in natural conditions, we unfortunately cannot claim the product is biodegradable.

No. As shown in the list of ingredients on Playtex® Sport®, Playtex Clean Comfort™ or Playtex® Simply Gentle Glide™, titanium dioxide is not an ingredient in the absorbent material that is inserted into the body or the string.

No, production of the absorbent materials in Playtex® tampons involves only elemental chlorine-free purification processing.
